With specific expertise in policy analysis & advocacy and health systems strengthening Dr. Patil has been working in the field of social development for more than 22 years and has led several large-scale projects supported by Bill Melinda Gates Foundation and the USAID. She has led research studies and programs focusing on improving the performance of health systems through quality, efficiency, effectiveness and coverage. As a researcher, she has evaluated and assessed the quantitative and qualitative impact of both rural and urban projects in India and other South Asian Countries. She has worked with the World Bank, the EU, the British High Commission (DFID), the UN agencies and varied national and international development partners. As a researcher, Dr. Patil has been a Principle Investigator for large scale, baseline, end-line and implementation research studies in India, Nepal, Bangladesh the UAE, specifically in the domain of RMNCH+A, Neglected Tropical Diseases, and Non-Communicable Diseases.
